WINTER
WEDDINGS HONEYMOON

One of the
most important events to plan when getting ready for your
winter wedding is your honeymoon! With all of the hustle and
bustle that occurs as you plan your wedding, it is easy to
forget to plan the honeymoon. I think the honeymoon is almost
as important as the wedding. You are going to spend a lot more
time on your honeymoon than your wedding day.
Here are some
great ideas of great places you can stay for your honeymoon.
The winter is the best time to visit most islands as it is not
as hot in the winter as it is in the summer. We got married in
January, and three other couples we know got married in the
summer and fall. The couples that got married in July
complained about how hot it was in Jamaica during the summer.
The couple that got married in October complained about all of
the rain on their honeymoon. We got married in January, and the
weather was amazing! Every day, the temperatures would rise
into the middle 70s, and at night, the temperatures would drop
into the 60s. The days were comfortably warm, and the nights
were comfortably cool. If you decide to go to a country like
Jamaica, make sure you stay at a resort, as many of the island
countries are living in poverty. It is simply not safe to
travel to a foreign country as an American if they know you
have money to spend.
You could go
on a ski trip if you are getting married in the winter. This is
another popular way to spend your week with your new spouse.
You can spend the week skiing down the slopes and having a
great time. You and your spouse should be skilled skiers if you
decide to do this. If one of you doesn’t like to ski, it is not
going to be an enjoyable honeymoon.
Another
popular honeymoon idea is to get a cabin out in the woods for a
few days. This will get you away from everyone as you begin your lives together. You
do not have to deal with the media while you are away, and
you can turn off your cell phones. Do not take your
laptops or televisions with you. Make sure you leave for a
week to spend time with your new mate.
If you want to
do something spontaneous, pick a city and fly there for a week.
Find a city with a lot of fun historic places to visit, and
visit everything you can in a week. You could pick a city in
the south where it will be warmer, or you can pick a city where
it snows all of the time.
There are many
great winter wedding honeymoon ideas you can explore. I
encourage you to find a great destination where you and your
spouse can have the time of your lives! Make sure you get a
wedding planner that helps plan your wedding for you so that
you can spend time planning your honeymoon!
