Just the right theme for winter wedding

Do you love Renaissance fairs and medieval fantasy style? A Fantasy theme is great for a winter wedding. Fantasy theme weddings are very popular, especially with fans of online games like World of Warcraft. Winter is a great time to have a fantasy theme wedding if you have lots of friends who travel on the Renaissance Fair circuit because your friends and family will be able to attend the wedding. The long medieval style gowns that are usually worn for Fantasy weddings are also great for the winter season. So are cloaks, petticoats, furs, and other Fantasy clothing. Most Fantasy fans think that a winter wedding is impractical because they really want to have an outdoor wedding but it’s not impossible to have an outdoor wedding in the winter that is beautiful and warm.

 Planning an outdoor Fantasy wedding means that you don’t have to do a lot of decorating, just add some ribbons and wreaths to the existing landscape. A tent might be a good idea in case it snows, or rains. It’s probably a good idea to hold the reception inside, but the ceremony can be outdoors and can be lovely. If you’re holding the ceremony indoors, use medieval style banners and lots of seasonal flowers to decorate the hall. The women should wear wreaths of flowers in their hair, and their gowns should be medieval style in whatever colors you choose. When planning a Fantasy wedding, you aren’t bound by the same considerations as you are when you’re planning a Vintage wedding. You can choose how you want everything to be, because it’s your Fantasy wedding.

It’s always a good idea to be clear with your guests though about what they should wear to attend the wedding. If you want them to come in Fantasy costume, be sure to specify what is acceptable and what isn’t, or refer them to some examples. Make sure that family and friends have enough time to get the type of clothing you want them to wear, and keep them involved in the wedding planning process.
